TAYLOR SWIFT CELEBRATES 2ND CONSECUTIVE ACM ENTERTAINER OF THE YEAR AWARD

LAS VEGAS, NV – April 2, 2012 – 6-time GRAMMY winner Taylor Swift took home top honors at last night’s Academy of Country Music Awards, winning the Entertainer of the Year trophy for the second consecutive year. This marks Taylor’s fourth Entertainer of the Year win, as she took home the top trophy from the ACM last year, in addition to winning Entertainer of the Year at last fall’s Country Music Association Awards, an honor she also won in 2009.

Also this weekend, Taylor was honored on Saturday night at the 25th Annual Kids’ Choice Awards, receiving the prestigious Big Help Award for her extensive philanthropic endeavors. First Lady Michelle Obama presented the award to Taylor, saying, "Taylor Swift may be in the news most often for her award-winning songs and multi-platinum records, but every step of the way she has always made it a point to give back….[She] has shattered every expectation of what a 22 year-old can accomplish.”

Just last week, Taylor’s song “Ours” became the fifth consecutive #1 single from her 5x Platinum-plus Speak Now album, released in October of 2010 on Big Machine Records. Last month, she wrapped her blockbuster 13-month Speak Now World Tour, playing the tour’s 1111th and final show to a capacity crowd in Auckland, New Zealand. The tour played to more than 1.3 million fans in stadiums and arenas in 19 countries spanning four continents, earning raves from both fans and critics around the globe.

Taylor has two songs on the soundtrack album The Hunger Games – Songs From District 12 and Beyond, which debuted at #1 on both the iTunes and SoundScan albums charts in its first week of release. Of the 1,169,254 singles sold to date from the album, 1,003,917 are Taylor’s. The Hunger Games is currently the #1 book, movie, and album in America.
