Concert Will Feature a Star-Studded Lineup Including Kenny Chesney, Kris Kristofferson, Chris Cornell, Ronnie Dunn, John Hiatt, Amy Lee, Shooter Jennings, Lucinda Williams, Ray LaMontagne, and Jamey Johnson with more Legendary Surprise Guests to be Announced
LOS ANGELES (February 28, 2012) – On April 20, 2012, music stars and friends will join together to celebrate the life of Johnny Cash in Austin, TX at “We Walk The Line: A Celebration of the Music of Johnny Cash.” In the year that would mark his 80th birthday, the concert, which will take place at Austin City Limits Live at The Moody Theatre, will not only pay tribute to Cash and his music, but also to his roots and his heritage. Performances will include GRAMMY-winning and GRAMMY- nominated musicians Carolina Chocolate Drops, Kenny Chesney, Chris Cornell, Ronnie Dunn, Jamey Johnson, Kris Kristofferson, Ray LaMontagne, Amy Lee and Lucinda Williams, as well as performances by Brandi Carlile, Andy Grammer, John Hiatt, Shooter Jennings and Rhett Miller with more performers to be announced shortly. Tickets go on-sale to the general public on Wednesday, February 29, 2012.
“Our family is honored to know that this amazing line-up of artists will gather together on one stage to pay tribute to the music and history of my father,” said John Carter Cash. “There is no doubt in my mind that, although he is no longer with us in body, his spirit will shine true on this night thanks to these inspired artists.”
“Having been a fan of Johnny Cash and his music for as long as I can remember I could not be more excited to produce an event that honors such a musical legend,” noted Keith Wortman. “His iconic voice, style and authenticity has inspired musicians for generations and we are proud to be able to celebrate his artistic legacy with some of today’s greatest entertainers while also benefitting such an amazing children’s cause ‘Charley’s Fund’.”
An all-star band led by GRAMMY Award-winning Don Was – which includes Buddy Miller, Kenny Aronoff, Ian McLagen, and Greg Leisz– will back these once-in-a-lifetime performances. The concert event will be produced by Keith Wortman. Was, who worked with Cash on an album for The Highwaymen, will serve as musical director. Tisha Fein and Chantel Sausedo will serve as talent producers. A percentage of the net proceeds will be donated to Charley’s Fund, to help in the fight to find a cure for the fatal children’s disease Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
“We Walk The Line: A Celebration of the Music of Johnny Cash” will be produced and distributed in conjunction with Legacy Recordings, the division of Sony Music Entertainment that serves as the home of Johnny Cash’s music catalog.
Cash’s 80th Birthday celebration kicks off on February 26, 2012, the day which would have been his 80th birthday, with the ground-breaking of the Johnny Cash Boyhood Home Project in Dyess, Arkansas. The house that Cash grew up in will become a permanent tribute to him and his family’s early life, as well as reflecting a historical slice of American life during the 1930s’ Great Depression. In addition, Legacy Recordings is set to celebrate this landmark year with a full slate of projects to be released throughout the next 12 months. First up is “Bootleg Vol. IV: The Soul of Truth,” a 2-CD, 51-track collection which comprises gospel and spiritual recordings made by Cash in the 1970s and ‘80s, to be released on April 3, 2012.
Tickets will go on-sale to the general public on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at 10 a.m. CST and are available at http://www.acl-live.com/, at Waterloo Records or charge by phone 877-4-FLYTIX.

DIERKS BENTLEY’S “HOME”
TRANSCENDS BORDERS THIS WEEK
TOPPING CANADA’S COUNTRY RADIO CHART
Bentley Wraps Canadian Leg of Tour and Heads to
Australia Next Week
Nashville, TN – Feb. 27, 2012 – Award-winning singer/songwriter Dierks Bentley’s anthemic title track and current single “Home” is resonating with fans across the border as it climbs into the No. one spot on Canada’s Mediabase Country Chart this week. Though inspired by domestic struggles, the track’s relatable global message of strife, strength and optimism is unifying fans everywhere.
“Dierks may have had America in mind with 'Home,' but the fact it went to No. one in Canada shows that the song has universal appeal,” said EMI Music Canada’s Ron Harwood. “We are all proud of where we are from. We’ve all faced tough times recently. We all know that things can be better again. It is a song that reflects on our own past and gives hope for a bright future, regardless of where you call ‘home.’”
“The gorgeous title track tastefully expounds on American patriotism…without resorting to blatant flag waving. Bentley once again affirms he is not your run of the mill country act.” - Winnipeg Free Press
“Home” continues to strike a chord with fans in the U.S. as it also climbs through the Top five at country radio this week. Last week, Bentley wrapped the Canadian leg of his 2012 Country & Cold Cans Tour, which will next visit fans in Australia early next month before its 20-city U.S. spring run. For a full list of upcoming tour dates and more on the new album, visit www.dierks.com.

Adley Stump Is the Final Member of Team Blake on
NBC’s "The Voice"
Nashville, TN (February 28, 2012)—Adley Stump made her debut on the final blind auditions episode of NBC’s “The Voice” last night (2/27) singing Carrie Underwood’s “Last Name.” The Tulsa, Oklahoma native has jumped to nationwide exposure where she’s been given the stamp of approval by no less than fellow Okie Blake Shelton and pop star Christina Aguilera.
With only one open spot on their team, both Shelton and Aguilera pressed their buttons for Stump. Shelton called the young singer a “great female vocalist” explaining why he followed Aguilera’s lead and pushed his button. “Her (Christina) being interested really pushed me over the edge,” says Shelton. “I was like ‘man this girl, is she as powerful as I think she is?’ And man, I think you’re great.”
Aguilera also commented on her strong vocal presence saying, “Your power blew me away. You are obviously a powerful vocalist and you have chops. You have really, really good chops.”
Despite growing up singing along to Aguilera, Adley Stump followed her heart and chose Blake Shelton, becoming the 12th and final member of Team Blake. For the young woman at the center of all the fuss, none of this was part of the plan. Stump was busy getting her degree in public relations at Oklahoma State University when friends dared her to try out for a singing part in a sorority production. She’d been honing her skills as a dancer and cheerleader since childhood, but had never considered the notion that she might have a knack for singing as well. Before she knew it, she was belting out the Carrie Underwood hit “Last Name” in front of celebrity judges Shelton, Aguilera, Cee Lo Green and Maroon 5’s Adam Levine.
“I was pinching myself that it was even a reality,” Stump says. “I thought, ‘I’m really doing this, this is my life now and I have a shot.’ I’ve always been a dreamer, but I didn’t think I could do something this big.”
Now that Adley Stump has the world’s attention, she aims to keep it. With her national TV debut and thousands of new friends on Facebook and Twitter, Adley Stump is ready prove herself in front of as many audiences as possible. Fans can hear more by visiting her website at www.adleystump.com. Her debut EP, Like A Lady, and her live performance of “Last Name” available for download on iTunes.

Nashville, TN – Feb. 17, 2012 – After taking only four minutes for ACM Entertainer of the Year nominee Jason Aldean to sell out his May 19 show at Atlanta's Aaron’s Amphitheatre at Lakewood, he sold out a second show on May 18 in just a few hours today. No other country music artist has ever sold out two shows that quickly in the Atlanta venue's history.

Kelly Clarkson and Video of the Year for "Tattoos on this Town." The April 1
show will air live from Las Vegas on CBS.
A Macon, GA native, Aldean has sold more than six million copies of his four studio albums and topped the charts with eight No. one songs. About Hank Williams Jr.
With more than 70 albums to his credit, Williams has a fascinating career to reflect upon for a legend still in his prime. His discography chronicles a bold profile of growth from adored offspring of a legendary father, to titan of the modern country rock movement in his own right. For two decades, America came to its collective feet each fall Monday night when this larger than life superman of a musician looked into the camera and unleashed the national anthem for viewers of Monday Night Football – ‘Are you ready for some football?’ Those simple words have won Williams an entirely new generation of fans and given him the distinction of being the first country performer to ever win an Emmy. Williams has also been named Entertainer of the Year five times, and most recently was the recipient of the 2009 Academy of Country Music “Pioneer Award”.

CHRIS CAGLE REVS UP TO SING NATIONAL ANTHEM
AT DRIVE4COPD 300
Country Rocker and Rancher's Image to Appear on
NASCAR Driver Mike Wallace's Car
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – February 21, 2011– Country music sensation and avid NASCAR fan Chris Cagle will "get his NASCAR on" when he sings the national anthem prior to the upcoming NASCAR Nationwide Series DRIVE4COPD 300 at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Fla., on February 25. In addition to performing during Saturday’s race, Cagle also will ride "shotgun" with friend and NASCAR driver Mike Wallace, when Cagle's image appears on the decklid of Wallace’s No. 01 G&K Services Chevrolet car.
"Just being in Daytona during the kick-off of the NASCAR racing season is a big deal, but when I found out I was going to be featured on the car, it was unbelievable! On top of that, getting the call to sing our National Anthem before the Nationwide Series race...it's a dream come true!," Cagle expressed.
Wallace shares his enthusiasm.
“It’s going to be fun to have my friend Chris Cagle on our car. He’s an excellent country artist with songs everyone can relate to in life. Maybe we can inspire him to write a song about racing for us,” said Wallace, who will open the NASCAR Nationwide Series at Daytona International Speedway.
Cagle plans to enjoy the monumental day with his wife Kay. "I am a huge NASCAR fan and a dear friend to Mike Wallace and his family! This is going to be an amazing day for me and something I never thought I'd have the opportunity to do! I'm going to enjoy every single moment, not to mention, the pleasure of introducing my wife to one of the greatest spectator sports that America has to offer," said Cagle.
Chris Cagle's performance of the national anthem with air at 1:18 P.M. EST/12:18 P.M. CST on ESPN.
About Chris Cagle:
Born in DeRidder, La., and raised "all over," Chris Cagle was signed to Virgin Records by Scott Hendricks in 2000. Chris quickly earned critical and commercial success and attracted a legion of fans that included industry heavyweights and country fans alike. His first number one smash, “I Breathe In, I Breathe Out,” remains a fan favorite. From 2000-2008, he released an almost nonstop catalog of chart-topping songs, but in 2008, Chris bowed out and retreated to Marietta, Oklahoma, a place where he could reconnect with his roots and take a break from the industry. He spent the next couple of years staking his claim on home life and embracing a lifelong dream: building his family’s home, “Big Horse Ranch,” with his own two hands, nail by nail.
Cagle's musical character and burning ambition never wavered and 2012's album is, in more ways than one, a new lease on life. The new record is his homecoming – a rekindling of his creative flame and a roaring reminder of his rock-infused country roots. Chris' music has been firing people up for over a decade, and this time around, Chris is chomping at the bit for an energetic reintroduction to the country music community that’s been a long time coming.

The Band Perry’s First Grammy Awards Experience Marks Yet another Career Milestone for the Young Group
Nashville, TN (Feb. 17, 2012) -- The Band Perry received a flurry of press following their performance with Glen Campbell at the 54th Annual Grammy Awards this past Sunday night but perhaps the real story for them happened off- stage. It was their very first Grammy nomination and performance. That performance inspired an intersection of two generations, that of Campbell’s and the new fans that The Band Perry is bringing to the country music format.
The group garnered a nomination in the “Best New Artist” category and was asked to join the historic tribute to Campbell, which also included country star Blake Shelton and Campbell himself. Campbell, who recently revealed he has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, just released his final studio album and will also complete his final live tour this year. The performance on the CBS broadcast of the Grammy Awards was also quite possibly the legend’s final television appearance as well.
“We are so honored to have been a part of the tribute to Glen Campbell,” says Kimberly Perry. “It was special in so many ways. Our parents have always been big fans and they introduced us to his music in our early years. Our performance with him was such an amazing crossroads between our parent’s generation and ours. His timeless songs and talent have truly left a legacy that will continue to inspire new artists and new fans alike.”
“Performing in such a historical moment is something that we will remember forever. We grew up listening to songs like “Gentle on My Mind” and then to be able to perform it as a tribute to the man himself was just incredible,” says Reid Perry.
“It was not only special to perform with Glen Campbell but also with his band. We are a family band and his family is also in his band, his children are part of the group. We really felt like everything had come full circle for us. They made us feel so comfortable and part of the family,” comments Neil Perry.
The Band Perry’s appeal far reaches that of the usual country music format. Their roots-inspired contemporary sound has garnered fans from all over the world. They are bringing a younger demographic to the country music format and they are doing it with pride.
The Band Perry’s current single “All Your Life” tops the country radio charts for a second week in the coveted #1 spot and also recently garnered RIAA GOLD sales status.
“We’re The Band Perry and we play Country Music!”

Previous awards include the 2010 GRAMMY© award for "Best New Artist," 2010 CMA award for "New Artist of the Year," 2009 ACM win for "Top New Vocal Group" and the 2009 "USA Weekend Breakthrough Video of the Year" award from CMT for their video "Chicken Fried."

Blake's Valentine Gift to Miranda
MIRANDA LAMBERT IS “ON FIRE” IN 2012
NASHVILLE, TN – Miranda Lambert returns to the stage of her “On Fire” Tour tonight, after two weeks away that included a performance of “America The Beautiful” at the Super Bowl with her husband Blake Shelton, a Grammy filled weekend where she presented Country Album of the Year and performed at Clive Davis’ Grammy Pre-Gala, one of the most prestigious events of the year, and she made her acting debut on her favorite show, Law & Order: SVU.
Her “On Fire” Tour is hot and one of the most sought after tickets this year. Miranda takes the stage this weekend with near capacity crowds in Amherst, MA and Hershey, PA and a sold out show in Youngstown, OH, which sold out the day tickets went on sale. The tour kicked off on January 12 with back to back sold out performances in Rockford, IL and La Crosse, WI. Other sell-outs included Baltimore, MD and Charlottesville, VA and Huntsville, AL.
Miranda’s new single, “Over You,” written by Miranda and Blake about his brother who died in a car accident when Blake was a teenager, is one of the fastest rising singles of her career. The song has taken on even deeper meaning with the recent passing of her father-in-law and her longtime friend Mark "Tex" Adams. “Over You” is currently Top 20 and climbing on the country airplay charts.
Four The Record was certified Gold just before the New Year and Miranda made history by becoming the first country artist in the 47 year history of the Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart to have each of her first four albums debut at # 1.

Nashville, TN – Feb. 15, 2012 – Award winning singer/songwriter Dierks Bentley takes the No. one position this week on Billboard’s Country Albums chart with his sixth studio album HOME, marking Bentley’s fourth career debut in the top spot. The new album’s poignant second single and title track also continues to climb the Top five at radio and has already spawned the rowdy chart-topper “Am I The Only One.”
Music critics across the country are weighing in with glowing reviews of HOME all focused around one central theme – Bentley's unique sound that combines his distinctive gravely vocals with a modern blend of acoustic and electric instruments. Entertainment Weekly awarded that sound an A.
“Bentley has always been a big-picture guy, looking to pull together the different kinds of music he loves. On what may be his most cohesive album, he combines rustic sounds of crisp banjo and mandolin with a surging beat that falls between U2 and Waylon Jennings.” – USA Today
“Bentley always utilizes banjo, fiddle, mandolin and especially dobro in his music, but with a modern beat and energy that, along with his distinctive voice, gives him a compelling sound of his own.” – Associated Press
“Dierks Bentley’s new album is his most assured…like an actor playing a role, great country singers inhabit their songs and make them sound like they’re living it all right before your ears. When it works, it feels Oscar-worthy… Dierks Bentley is a great country singer.” – Washington Post
“Home is packed with songs that showcase Bentley as a vocalist and that will feed his energy as a performer on stage.” - Tennessean
“It's Bentley at his country-mainstream best.” – Philadelphia Inquirer

Kevin Costner & Modern West Warming Up Spring
with 2012 Concert Tour
Award-winning Actor & Celebrated Band Taking Spotlight
in Sunshine State for U.S. Launch
Nashville, TN (February 15, 2012) - Critically-acclaimed Kevin Costner & Modern West will take center stage with a concert tour that’s scheduled to launch this spring in Lakeland, Florida. Academy Award-winning Costner co-founded the rock/country band after being encouraged by his wife, Christine, to reconnect with his music passion. In 2005, he teamed with songwriter John Coinman and bassist Blair Forward, band mates of their original group, Roving Boy, from the late 80’s. Other members of Modern West include Larry Cobb (drums), Park Chisolm (vocals & guitar), Teddy Morgan (lead guitar & producer). Bobby Yang, Roddy Chong and Luke Bulla will rotate fiddle performances. For the past 6 years, the band has been electrifying audiences across the globe with shows in Europe, Asia, Canada, South America, and the U.S.
When it comes to pursuing music, Costner describes it as a journey taken with a personal and purposeful approach. “I always thought that music could build a stronger, more personal moment with people. It could create an opportunity for genuine exchange much greater than a movie, TV interview or magazine. It would be real, full of mistakes and without apology. But most of all, there would be a chance to have some fun.”
Kevin Costner & Modern West released their first CD, Untold Truths, on Universal Records in 2008. The following year, Turn It On was launched in Europe on Edel Records. The band toured Europe during that period, playing 38 shows in 6 weeks. In 2011, it released From Where I Stand on Edel Records and kicked off another extensive tour.
In the midst of hectic schedules and a steady stream of CDs, Kevin Costner & Modern West have continued with its commitment of giving back and lending a helping hand. Over the years, the group has performed at various benefit events and USO concerts for military troops serving abroad. The band has appeared at premiere music events such as Country Thunder, Stagecoach, Grand Ole Opry and Ottawa Blues Festival, to name a few. It was also featured in an hour-long CMT special. The group plays all original material written by its band members.
The Kevin Costner & Modern West 2012 concert tour is scheduled to launch in March. For show information and additional details, please visit: www.kevincostnermodernwest.com.

The Beatles’ iconic (and widely imitated) album cover Abbey Road shows all four band members walking across London’s Abbey Road. At that time The Beatles were recording the majority of their songs and albums at Abbey Road Studios (was then called EMI Studios). On August 8, 1969, Scottish photographer Iain MacMillan captured them simply walking across the street for the album’s cover. The shoot reportedly took just ten minutes but, as you can see, they had walked back and forth across the street before catching that now-famous image. Here is a gallery of outtakes from that famous photo shoot.

New Dolly statement on Whitney
“I was brought to tears again last night, as I’m sure many were, when Jennifer Hudson sang ‘I Will Always Love You’ on the Grammys in memory of Whitney. Like everybody else, I am still in shock. But I know that Whitney will live forever in all the great music that she left behind. I will always have a very special piece of her in the song we shared together and had the good fortune to share with the world. Rest in peace, Whitney. Again, we will always love you.”

TAYLOR SWIFT WINS TWO GRAMMY AWARDS, WOWS WITH ANTHEMIC PERFORMANCE OF “MEAN”
Los Angleles, CA – February 13, 2012 –Taylor Swift is now a Six-Time Grammy winner, after taking home trophies from last night’s 54th Annual Grammy Awards for Best Country Song and Best Country Solo Performance for her #1 smash single “Mean, ” from her 5X Platinum Speak Now album, released on Big Machine Records. The wins come just two years after Taylor first won Grammys in both of those categories in 2010, in addition to Album of the Year and Country Album of the Year.
Written in response to a particularly zealous critic, “Mean,” is both an anthem and a chart-topping favorite that “takes real-world emotional pain and transforms it into clever art” (The New York Times). The Village Voice has lauded “Mean” as “huge and hugely compassionate, and fearless….overwhelming,” and the Associated Press dubbed it “a searing response to being treated badly.”
Accepting her Grammy awards for the song, Taylor said, “There’s really no feeling quite like writing a song about someone who’s completely mean to you and completely hates you, and then winning a Grammy for it.”
Later in the evening, Taylor brought the crowd to its feet during a performance lauded by the Los Angeles Times as one of the show’s “best moments” -- her “playful, banjo-driven” (Entertainment Weekly) take on “Mean,” earning high marks from critics and an impassioned standing ovation from the Grammy audience.
Taylor, who is on the cover of the current issue of Vogue, is the reigning Billboard Woman of the Year and the AMA Artist of the Year. She is both the Academy of Country Music and the Country Music Association’s Entertainer of the Year, and has career worldwide record sales in excess of 22 million albums and 50 million song downloads. Her blockbuster Speak Now World Tour concludes next month with shows in Australia and New Zealand.

NASHVILLE,TN – Scotty McCreery has been nominated for this year’s Academy of Country Music New Artist of the Year Award, which will be given out during the 47th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas on April 1.
This good news reached Scotty soon after he had been alerted by fans via Twitter that his second single, “The Trouble With Girls,” had just topped 500,000 in sales, making it eligible for a gold certification.
“It’s been a good couple of days,” he says. “I am pumped! Looking at the final eight in the category, everybody in there was so good. I listen to all of their music. So to be a finalist is an honor.
“It’s been an incredible year,” says Scotty, whose debut album was certified platinum in only three months. “Being up for this award means a lot to me. I am ready to head to Vegas!”
On Wednesday, Scotty learned that the past week’s sales of “The Trouble With Girls” pushed the song over the 500,000-sales mark, making it eligible to become his second consecutive single to reach the gold status. “I was so happy when I found out,” he says. “My fans were tweeting, ‘Congratulations on gold,’ and I hadn’t heard yet, so I checked it out. I found out, so I was pumped and made the calls and texts to my family. We are all ecstatic as a family.”

His debut album, Clear As Day, was certified platinum for sales of more than 1 million units in just three months, and he was recently named No. 1 on Billboard magazine's list of Top New Country Artists for 2011. He also won New Artist of the Year at the American Country Awards in December.
Clear As Day debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 and Top Country Albums charts, making him the youngest man in history to open at the top of the all-genre chart with a debut release. It also garnered the highest sales of any country solo album released last year and held the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart for six weeks. The album's first single, "I Love You This Big," has also been certified gold. He is currently touring the nation as part of Brad Paisley's "Virtual Reality Tour 2012" presented by Chevrolet.
